Switching technology Switching technology

StEG Sadovaya’s choice of technology is very broad. However, it is worth sorting out a segment such as the lawnmower. Traditionally, as with every manufacturer, Stiga lawn mowers are divided into three large categories: gasoline, cordless and electric. Available series from Stiga: Collector, Combi, Turbo, Multiclip, Dino, Exel, Turbo Exel, SLM, Twinclip.

  • Multilayer – durable high quality plastic – does not pollute the environment;
  • powerful motor;
  • the ability to work anywhere and anytime;

After 50-100 hours of operation, check the oil level and refill the tank.

Electric mowers are powered by 220V. Check cable condition, do not pull out by jerking, but pull plug gently out of socket.

Malfunctions during operation – causes and remedy

Failure because How to remedy
1. Mower loses power Not enough fuel, large clogged grass bag, power from mains. If necessary, check fuel level and proportions. Clean grass catcher; make sure.
The blade of the grass catcher box is uneven. The blade is crumpled or damaged; the grass catcher box is full. Check the blade; replace it yourself or have it serviced. Clean grass catcher box.
3. Loud noise during operation The engine may be overheating Stop machine, allow engine to cool, continue working.

Leave all difficult breakdowns to the service center. The warranty period for Steig Garden appliances, especially lawn mowers, is 60 months.

Reviews of owners of lawn mowers Stiga

Ivan, 45, book:

“I have a Stiga Collector 46 sb, the mower is just great! The quality speaks for itself. Both the assembly and the workflow are very happy. No backlash, no problems with the engine, powerful, handles well on any surface, even on uneven lawns.

The only downside, in my opinion, is that almost all have the same problem with the handle. Most often it is when there is some kind of overlap, bend, coating. There is no such thing here. You have to get used to it right away, because the job doesn’t wait. The rest of the parameters, without a doubt, can all be called advantages. I fill up with 95 petrol and 4T oil, there are no other subtleties in maintenance. In the 4 years I have had it, I have not had to call for repairs. I can heartily recommend the Stiga 46 sb to all lovers of gasoline-powered mowers.

Dmitry, 42 years old, Dnepr:

“I have been using the Stig Collector 34 E for three years now. The pleasure is inexpressible, after the Chinese consumer goods my soul sings so much. Seriously, friends, I want to appeal to all – do not save on tackle, take the good stuff. Yes, you pay a lot, well, good equipment is not worth a cent. Specifically on the model:

Pros – power, speed, unpretentiousness, elementary maintenance, bought already assembled, nothing unscrewed, nothing changed, as bought, so I work! One more advantage: the blades are of very high quality, and that’s a plus for all Stiga.

Cons – a little “bouncy”, bouncing on the bumps. But this can be fixed, you just need to hold and slightly steer.

Roman, 28, Kazan:

“I use stiga combi 36 e electric mower. I agree with the previous reviews, mowers are just fire! I have nothing to add, I just want to thank the manufacturer for the excellent technique. For small lawns Stigi has also trimmers, but between the trimmer and lawn mower I definitely chose the latter, because it is more powerful and more convenient in every way.”

Other reviews in the lawnmower category:

Pros: Mows great, picks up all the grass, fully bagged, easy to operate, winds up well.

Cons: No disadvantages yet

Pros: It mows well.

Cons: It gets clogged with grass and soil

Comments: In less than a year the plastic height adjustment broke

Advantages: Has been working faithfully for 10 years. Mowed by my husband, son and myself. Controls are very simple. Now I have to change the engine. It mows low grass now, but with high grass it is necessary to clean the blade, it gets stuck. However, this is after 10 years of ruthless use. Lightweight, mows great.

Cons: None

Pros: It has side discharge and mulching function, high quality in Europe, on bearings, reliable and proven breeches, cheap to save, soft and large grass catcher box

Cons: Couldn’t find any.

Commentary: Worked the whole season last year, often had to mow even the wet grass and the power of the mower was quite enough. The self-masking and speed are perfect – no need to walk or weave behind the mower. Tried mulching – realized it’s only necessary on dry grass. In 5 seconds you have the plug and the mower is ready to mulch. Also liked the rubberized handle that you can adjust to your height.

The lineup of motorcycle and trimmer from Markenmogilev KM: description and characteristics

Advantages: the mowing is great! It’s powerful! The mulching feature does a great job with last year’s leaves. Leaves turn into dust. (He was surprised.)

Cons: None

Commentary: I recommend it to everyone! Had the same one before, lasted 10 years! (Stolen.)

Advantages: Swedish brand with Italian owner, assembled in Slovakia. Engine of its own (Swedish) design, not Chinese! American engine is available in SB version. Self-propelled – after a manual mower, mowing straight trails is reduced to a “Start and go” function. But if there are a lot of short sections, pushing the mower is no more difficult than the non-self-propelled version. Convenient mowing height adjustment – all four bikes are set with one handle Soft rubber wheels (or are they polyurethane?), do not slip on wet grass, have good traction

Weaknesses: the mowing adjustment levels are weird. The lowest position is on the floor with the blade. For my not always flat area, the working position is second from the top. For wilder terrain, I use the top one – just enough to hold onto the ground or roots.

Comment: Before purchasing, I checked the availability of consumables for this mower – everything is sold – blades, plugs and even wheels. The rest is the same as for the other mowers.

Advantages: mowing is good, consumes few consumables

Disadvantages: the grip doesn’t bend

Comments: I used this mower for mowing “like a lawn” with an area of 2-3 hectares at the country house, I mowed during the season – nothing has broken! Before that, I had an electric mower with a diameter of two times less than this, and a huge wire in the length, I can only compare with the one that was, the difference is about day and night. Earlier on the Hauere, 60% of the effort was spent on the wire, so with the new mower I have doubled the productivity, the power consumption was halved, there was a profit! It mows well, the height of cut grass is adjustable, it works quietly, quite comfortably, four-stroke engine is cooler than two-stroke one. My mom, a retired woman, can easily handle the mower, for my needs is enough, worked for a season and nothing broke !!! The price to quality ratio is fine with me. Everyone is happy with it.

Advantages: powerful, easy to start.

Disadvantages: no nozzle to connect the hose. This. No light wash function. You have to turn around and wash. The grass bag is too small for such a machine.

Comment: My first lawn mower. Does the job very well. But when mowing 7-10 cm of dense lawn grass the bag fills up to 40 meters, often you have to shake it out. It is very impractical to wash.

Positive: in principle I am satisfied. I would like more durability. Higher grass is very difficult to cope with. And after 20-25 minutes of work it switches itself off (I do not know if this is a feature or a defect). The knife is not sharp! Which is very strange.

Disadvantages: I would like more performance. And did not like that the handle scratches the fence when you cut along the fence.

Comments: Mostly positive

Advantages: reliable, high quality. Functions in one sentence exactly the necessary functions. Good value for money.
