Reviews for the Caiman Vario 60s TWK+
Brings back a great bike. Easy to use, everything clicks into place clearly. The engine is great.
Disadvantages: For the money there is none.
Comment: bought it for the country side gardening. I am very happy with everything. Digs great with a cutter on each side, then I put three on each side and fluff it out. Used a lot with the trailer for excursions to the woods for mushrooms and strawberries. The kids have a lot of fun, but the one running the gym is no longer needed. NO DIFFERENCE.
Advantages: easy to operate, cultivates the soil perfectly, reliable Japanese engine, gearbox, cutting units.
Disadvantages: expensive drive belts for 1200 rubles. With the original sometimes jams the gear lever, transmission oil fails in operation.
Comment: I use this tractor with manual control as a cultivator for the fourth season. I am very happy with my purchase. The CVT takes some getting used to, when the gear lever jams you have to push the single axle tractor a little forward or backward depending on the driving mode you choose. The drive belt Mitsuboshi La45 (for agricultural machinery) is almost impossible to find in the stores, so I have to buy the expensive original with the inscription Pubert. As for other things I don’t have any complaints, only pleasant impressions from working with Caiman Vario.
The advantages: The engine starts like clockwork with a 13-year-old child. It is moderately complicated.
Disadvantages: It’s a bit pricey, but well worth it. This model was stolen two years ago. If it had been simpler, maybe it wouldn’t have been stolen.
Advantages: a lot of power. Weight is optimal: not light, but not completely unbearable. Easy to operate, equipment can be easily hinged and placed in the VAZ2104 cabin for transportation. On the second gear, the cutting unit loosens the hard soil with 3/4 of the throttle into a fine powder.
Disadvantages: I have not found any specific ones. The only thing missing is the power transfer to the floor through the standard iron rollers: the hand-operated tractor digs into the ground more easily than pulling the plow forward. I had to weld an expander, doubling the width of the rollers. There is no wave diverter.
Comment: Did this in 2013, now in its sixth season, just plowed yesterday. My parents have 37 acres, my mother-in-law has 6 acres. Plowing in the spring, planting, plowing in the fall. I have not had any problems with it yet, I just changed my oil and watched the clutch once. My gas mileage is excellent. I wash the air filter element often.
Advantages: it looks good.
Disadvantages: All. But my own fault, put on the wrong model. And the quality – constantly breaks the clutch roller and strap shaggy, users say that this is common, but they are not cheap
Comment: Total crap, I regret that I got in touch with – I underestimated, burst. Who has more than 3 hectares of land
Whether I recommend choosing another model, preferably domestic, with a PTO, locking wheels and the availability of spare parts. Even the front yard gets silly with this octopus – while you’re doing turn after turn, you’ll flip a picket fence. And for serious work, you need to buy a pair of irons.

Cons: Did not find any. The main thing is the maintenance.
Observations: I’ve been using it for 4 years now. I plow 20 acres in the spring and 20 acres in the fall. I only change the oil before each season. Nothing has ever broken down there at all. A detailed inspection should be done after 5 years.
Pros: bought it in 2013 and started plowing, here is my review under the nickname “Arnold Duchowski”. Been plowing twice a year since then. The scale can be seen in the photo – this is only in the village, sometimes work on the construction of the mother-in-law, but there is little and not every year.
Cons: There are none, it is a car. Lucky enough.
Comment: Took it apart and serviced this winter. Almost jammed the upper left transmission bearing that goes from the transmission output shaft, the balls were angular. I replaced it, as well as the right gearbox oil seal because the oil started pressing, not much, but there is. Changed the transmission oil. Cleaned the gear shift and locking sector and adjusted its cables. I put grease back in the gearbox and drilled a hole to add grease (later editions have this hole from the factory). There wasn’t enough grease in the gearbox bearings, I opened their covers and re-greased them. The plastic pulley shows signs of wear, but not critical yet. No comments on the engine yet, just changed the oil and the gasket between the carb and air filter housing. Spark plug is in excellent condition, there is a little carbon deposit in the combustion chamber. The hand starter cord is a little frayed, but it takes 5 minutes to replace. I put a thick washer under the axle of the clutch pulley so that the pulley itself comes out a little to the left and fits the belt with the other edge, since the wear on the pulley had already started. And also packed grease on the roller bearing, as it was already dry roller began to whistle. In general, after 9 years of use everything looks good. The repair was inexpensive, did not take much time.
Pros: engine performance, warranty
Cons: Can’t find it yet.
Commentary: I installed it last season. Very helpful in tilling the ground. Consumption is low.

owner’s feedback
+: Reliable enough, easy to work with milling cutters, quality milling cutters
-: With disks, the camera nipple often breaks off, too easy, good for the garden, when the ground is cultivated, new ground does not take, the metal ledges are poured with concrete, but still a plow and a potato digger can not overpower, you have to push yourself, too Heavy load can not drag, more like a cultivator than a two-wheeled tractor
Note: I don’t recommend the lighter weight, too cheap spare parts, I buy it because of the 4 year warranty, but in our town the service is closed, because people don’t buy this caterpillar very often, I’ve looked on the internet, it’s in the carburetor, I need to go to the collective farm, the amount for a caterpillar is not small, and all the time I need to take it to the service, but after half an hour of work it starts sneezing again, I fill good petrol, but the problem remains
+: Easy to use
+: Got the vegetable garden on fire, planted potatoes, completely processed and digged over. All summer it [went] helpers.
+: The engine has sufficient power. Reliable. Very good car dealership in Khimki. High level of service.
-: It started with trimming the wheel cam nipples – at first they were crooked – eventually they cut it off with a washer and replaced the cams. Then, when working on the seam, broke off the muffler – replaced under warranty (but to go to the warranty service is a separate pleasure – 150 km one way, a waste of time. Taking into account that the reason of the claim is an obvious defect – the muffler fell off during normal work, while cutting the grass). Then both cables broke – clutch and throttle.
Flashback: I was working in a small garden – plowing, tilling, mowing the grass, clearing snow with a knife, hauling loads on a cart. Had a dream that on a large plot – 2-3 hectares (didn’t come true) – would handle mowing tall grass. Overall a good engine, great dealer. If you manage to break the warranty, they won’t let you down. At the same time in my case there were fragile parts like the muffler, throttle cables and clutch – it would break. A breakdown leads to a work stoppage, a call to the dealership, downtime, wasted time, gasoline, and money. Parts are either in the dealer’s warehouse, or if something substantial, order it from Europe. Given the very high cost (count the cost of the additional attachments – even with standard wheels it will not work in the field or on a snow plow – it skids, so I bought steel wheels with spikes. For a walking tractor and attachments spent about 100,000 rubles), very significant limitations on the work opportunities – used to work the plow in the garden – not even the virgin loose soil laboriously plow – the operator controls, and the second man sits on top of 60kg, so that the plow digs into the ground (this is not a drawback of this model, but in principle, walking tractors as a class). I think that the owners with more or less significant areas of 0.5 hectares or more worth buying a used Soviet tractor.
+: Sufficient power. Weight is optimal: not light, but not completely unbearable. Convenient to use, easy to attach equipment, and for transportation it fits into the cab of the VAZ2104. On the second gear, the cutterbar loosens even hard soil to fine powder at 3/4 throttle.
-: Nothing special was found. The only thing missing is the power transfer to the ground with the standard iron rollers: a tractor with a staggered backhoe digging into the ground is easier than pulling the plow forward. We had to weld reamers, doubling the width of the rollers. There is no PTO.
Review: Took in 2013, already in its sixth season, just plowed yesterday. My parents have 37 acres, my mother-in-law has 6 acres. Plowing in spring, planting, plowing in fall. I had no problems with it, only changed oil and tightened the clutch cable once. Fuel consumption is excellent. I wash the air filter element often.
+: Great tractor for walking behind. Easy to use, everything engages clearly. Engine is great.
-: Not affordable for the money.
Review: Bought it for farming. I am very happy with everything. The virgin areas digs great on the grinder on each side, and here I have three on each side, they are crisp with fluff. Used it a lot with the trailer for trips to the woods for mushrooms and strawberries. The kids have a lot of fun and who doesn’t need a gym anymore. No difference.
+: Easy to operate, great to cultivate, reliable Japanese engine, gearbox, cutter.
-: Expensive drive belt at a cost of 1200 r. For the original, the gear shifter sees gear oil in working condition every once in a while.
Review: Using this camping tractor as a cultivator for the fourth season. I am quite satisfied with my purchase. You’ll have to get used to the variator gearbox when shifting gears, which should push the hiking tractor forward or backward depending on the driving mode selection. The Mitsuboshi LA45 (for agricultural machinery) drive belt is hard to find on sale. That is why we have to buy the expensive original with the Pubert inscription. In other respects no complaints, only pleasant impressions from working with Caiman Vario.
+: engine like clockwork winds up a child of 13 years. The interior is heavy.
-: Price, but it’s worth it. Two years ago this model was stolen. If it was easier, probably wouldn’t have been stolen.
+: Cute looking,
-: Everything. But its his own fault and put in the wrong model. And quality – clutch drum constantly breaks and shreds allegedly users say this is common but they are expensive
Review: Total crap, I’m sorry I messed with them, they overdid it and tricked me. I recommend to those who have more than 3 hundred square meters of land to choose another model, preferably domestic, with a power shaft, lock the wheels, the availability of spare parts. Even a front yard can be cultivated with such a cutter – while you make a turn on the break – the picket will turn. And for serious work you need to buy a pair of irons…
+: No replacement garden helper. When I bought this unit, my husband completely freed me from weeding and planting potatoes. Now everything has to do with a gearbox, which is mighty and even dreamed of with a gearbox, he dreamed of this all the time. Motoblock can cultivate everything and cut furrows, the only disadvantage is not conveniently large, but otherwise a great machine
+: Easy walk-around tractor, 70kg.
Check: There is an extra drop for transportation. I got a set of Rapper Blade quick shredders in the kit. Handle is adjustable vertically (can be adjusted for any height), and horizontally – to avoid stepping on the plowed field and maneuver between fences and bushes.
+: Good cross-country ability, no stress, you can plow the field during the day and only feet get tired, no need to use serious physical strength
Rating: Worked the season without any problems. Quite a good choice, in my opinion. The separate advantage is the possibility to adjust the speed of rotation of the burr, regardless of the load. I recommend it.
+: Automatic transmission for easy handling, fuel saving, comfortable belt clutch, easy soft start.
Review: One of my lucky purchases, I ran around for a tractor, paid a lot of money, then hired this walk twister tractor and plowed two vegetable gardens for the third year. Plows great and no blocks, just like after the tractor. After that I started planting right away. The grooves swarm evenly.
+: Compact, lightweight. Reliable Japanese engine
-: 1. High price 2. The leg of the transport wheel is short. 3. Sold with wheels, fenders (removable) will not fit. 4. Not very conveniently located towing facility. 5. The gear shift is not very clear (often gets stuck).
Testimonial: Why did you choose this model? In 2007 I bought a Caiman cultivator with a Subaru EX13 4.5 hp engine, assembled by PURE France. Within 4 years I cultivated 40 ha. Now less – 15. Changed only belts (and maintenance, of course, in time). Proven itself perfectly both in the field and in the field. Therefore, when I decided to buy a tractor with running gear (the reason – the cart), I did not even think about the brand – only Caiman! I bought it. The assembly is clearly no longer France. The mechanism of the steering wheel adjustment is not at its best. I immediately lengthened the leg of the transport wheel (only 5 cm!) and it was much more comfortable and easier to roll. The transport wheel itself could be made wider. The claimed plowing depth is 32 cm, in fact – 22 cm (with the cutters under the wings). It cuts perfectly, I have no problems with it. I found the mounting of the cart very cumbersome – the bolt was not fixed (beautiful green plastic fence was in the way), I left the bolt. Of course, I had to think through the design of the cargo mount. Worth a ride on a dirt road – it flies out from under the wheels in all directions. Ordinary removable fenders would not work. They are self-made. Disappointed and gear shifting: often jams, you have to move the two-wheeled tractor a bit to change gear. Of course, it seems to be the little things, but for such a price you always expect better quality. But overall impressions are good: it perfectly copes with the task and the purpose for which it was created.
Review: I bought the polonium cultivation kit and the trailer for my own personal use. Very happy with the model. Has been in use for 3 years and has never once let me down.
Rating: All gardeners face the problem of digging the vegetable garden, my problem is solved. This two-wheeled tractor has become an indispensable helper. The equipment is really sturdy and not disposable, I think will last not 2-3 years, but much more. The power of 6 hp, it is enough to plow the field, and I think this is a big plus, because the power reserve is great and the wear and tear of the characteristics will be less. Very easy to handle, the weight is almost not felt, copes with any floor (bought for two families) without problems. I advise everyone.
+: Comfortable walking, easy to start
Assessment: I don’t have a problem with the operation. The starter handle is easy to turn on and the tractor runs great. I also like that the handle of the two-wheeled tractor rotates and doesn’t step on parts that have already been worked on – a very practical feature. There is no resistance when working, everything works like clockwork.
Rating: I am an avid gardener. I love to work in my garden. But as I get older, my strength diminishes. That all changed after my daughter advised me to go to an online store and choose a tractor walker. I easily found what I needed!!! Beautiful and easy to work with. Not demanding in maintenance. But most importantly, low gas mileage and not a “throwaway” price. I’m glad I bought it.
+: light weight, big diameter wheels.
Review: Bought this tractor walk behind in 2016. Second summer working with it, like new, although they advise to change the belts, which I will do. Everything goes fast with it – I plow 10 hectares before lunch, no effort required here, the walk behind tractor runs like clockwork. All in all, I’m happy to have such a “friend” who has taken over my dacha duties.
+: The wheels have a wide profile, thanks to which it does not put in the ground and does not slip. The mills included in the set do not lose their properties during the year of use thanks to the quality metal.
-: In general, we are satisfied with the unit, we hope to tease a lot more earth.
Rating: I bought this walking tractor at the beginning of last summer. Liked the ability to adjust the handle to different directions. It makes it easy to work next to hedges. The vibration is not as bad as the old walking tractor.
+: The tiller doesn’t take up much space. More than enough strength.
-: The only disadvantage – a little noise, it can be heard even by older people.
Rating: satisfied, now I do not have to bend my back on the site.
+: The engine is petrol, 4-stroke. Combined oil air filter. Easy to start with a pump.
-: Have not found yet. I am pleased with the performance.
Review: The cultivation is perfect, the working area is about 90 cm. Great rubber wheels and a handy third transport bike.
+: For plowing a garden of 20 acres or more, I rely on my neighbor’s advice to buy a walking tractor. Based on the main criteria: power, stability and versatility.
Rating: Power of 6 horses. There are two forward speeds and one reverse. It is possible to install additional devices. Cost-effective gasoline connoisseur. Thanks to the walking tractor, the vegetable garden is plowed much faster.
Evaluation: an indispensable helper at an affordable price. Distinguishes itself from other models in the same price quite good productivity, on which, in fact, depends on the quality of work. It has the reverse speed. The engine is French, not Chinese. I was fully satisfied with the engine block.
+: Tractor by the behavior on the walk showed a high level of continuity in the field, also pleased with the automatic transmission. There were no problems with digging the site.
