KAMAZ-53213: Technical properties, characteristics, modifications

Kamaz 53213 is a three-axle truck chassis, an extended version of the Kamaz 53211 chassis. Manufacturers install construction, household and other special devices. There is also a basic version with a tactor o n-board (Kamaz 53212).

Production of chassis KAMAZ 53213 began in 1979 at the Kama Automobile Plant. Currently, the production of this model is continuing (volume is reduced noticeably). Customers have been asking since the introduction of the technique and mainly used to compile the Kamaz 53212, production of which ended in 2000. Rear layout and 6-to-4 wheel configuration provided good cross-country ability, which allowed the machine to work in different areas.

Until 2000s, there were practically no competitors on the domestic market on the Kamaz 53213 chassis. The model gradually began to be replaced by modern products. However, some drivers today use vehicles based on the Kamaz 53213. Especially often this technique is found on rural roads.

Features

This is the name of the truck chassis, an extended version of the chassis 53211. There are various economic, structural and other devices installed in the factories. There is also a factory modification, which is located on the taktor tractor. The following are the initial characteristics. Kamaz-53213 has the following parameters.

The length of the machine is 8 m, width 2.5 m, height 2.962 m, wheelbase 3.69 + 1.32 m, front track 2.026 m, rear 1.85 m, distance 285 mm. Curb weight is 7 tonnes and GVW is 18.225 tonnes. With a payload of 11.075 tonnes, a load of 4.5 tonnes is allowed on the front axle and 13.725 tonnes on the rear.

Kamaz-53213 can climb up to 30% grade and accelerate up to 80 km/h. Turning diameter is 10 m. Tank capacity is 250 liters.

Kamaz special purpose vehicles

Kamaz chassis have a wide range of applications for transportation on the streets. Almost all chassis are based on basic models.

The vehicle is equipped with a three-seat cabin, which is located above the engine and tilts back to provide access. It is defined on a frame on elastic suspension. KAMAZ 53213 without mileage is currently problematic. Used cars of this model are offered a little, and their cost is determined by the condition and year of manufacture:

The front suspension is based on semi-echute featherweights with sliding rear ends and telescopic shock absorbers. First we should consider the factory version. As already mentioned, it is a vehicle with a truck tractor on board, which is designed for intercity transportation as part of the streets. Production began in 1979 and ended in 2002. The truck was an extended version of the Kamaz-5320, created on the chassis 53211.

It was equipped with a metal body with folding rear and side pages and wooden floor. It is 6.09 m long, 2.42 m wide and 0.5 m high. There is an awning, which forms a cargo compartment with a volume of 32 m3.

Overall dimensions of the truck are 8.53 m long, 2.5 m wide, 2.83 m (along the cab) or 3.8 m with an awning. Front lane is 2.026 m, rear one is 1.855 m and the distance is 280 mm. Curb weight is 8 t, gross weight – 18,255 t. Payload – 10 tonnes. In the first case, the load on the front axle is 3.525 t, and on the rear – 4.475 t. On a fully loaded vehicle, these values, these values, these values increase to 4.29 or 13.935 tons. At the same time, it is capable of carrying a trailer weighing up to 14 tons. I have an old Kamaz-53213 from 1994. The body and cab have been rewelded several times, only the frames can be from local parts. For the last eight years I have been operating the car as a water carrier. I can say that it is a simple and rather cheap car – in a word a hard worker. There is no comfort to speak of, nor is it better to adjust the seats, as the skids wear out quickly and the adjustment mechanism itself comes into disrepair, causing a financial cost.
