Fuels and lubricants and operation of the Eco chainsaw

• Pour the required amount of AI 92-95 gasoline into a measuring container;
• Add 1/25 amount of oil for 2-stroke engines during the running-in period. Subsequently use an oil/gasoline mixture at a ratio of 1/50;
• Mix the fuel mixture thoroughly.

Important: It is not recommended to prepare large amounts of fuel because your saw’s engine needs a fresh mix. Do not prepare fuel in the tank and do not refuel your chainsaw with the engine running.

Oil and fuel mixture for Eco

The Italian Eco chainsaw should be filled with a special fuel mixture and never with pure gasoline. The octane number of gasoline should ideally be higher than 92, otherwise you can face jamming of the piston and overheating of the engine. The optimal components for a quality fuel mixture that doesn’t damage the saw mechanism are 92 brand and special oil for two-stroke engines.

It is essential to maintain the mixing ratio (50:1). If the proportions are not correct, the engine could be seriously damaged. The ready-to-use fuel mixture must not be stored for more than 30 days and bad liquids must not be used to make it. Otherwise the chainsaw will get clogged in the carburetor and fuel tank.

For the automatic chain lubrication system you must use a special high quality oil. SAE 20 is suitable for winter SAE 30-40, and SAE 10W-30 oil can be used regardless of the season.
