The Puma 210 transmission case
By default, Puma tractors are equipped with Semi Power Shift 18 × 6 transmission, which provides a maximum speed of 40 km/h. The transmission of this tractor is also equipped with an automatic zone shifting system to work in automatic mode and maintain the optimum engine range. Starting from the seventh gear, the box works in automatic mode. The six reverse gears partly compensate for the lack of reverse function.
As standard PUMA 210 tractors are equipped with independent transmissions with speeds of 540e / 1000 rpm. In order to achieve the highest possible efficiency, the on-load tap-changer is driven directly from the flywheel of the diesel engine.
The Power Shift TM MURTH automatic transmission was designed to change corridors without interrupting the power flow. Thanks to this feature, you can use the traction properties of the drive with the highest possible efficiency. The automatic transmission partially or fully compensates for errors that the machine operator can make when selecting the right working or transport speed of the tractor at the moment.
The Case Puma 210 tractor is available as an option with a transmission that is equipped with an additional 19th gear. The tractor can already move at transport speeds of 40 km/h and 50 km/h. The additional 19th gear at 1,650 rpm increases fuel consumption and productivity and reduces noise levels when driving at maximum road speed.
Mechanical perforated shaft drives are used to mechanically drive attachments front and rear.
Tiller, chassis, tractor brakes
The chassis of Case IH PUMA 210 tractors is all-wheel drive with a switchable front axle and differential lock function. The rear wheels are constantly in operation and the front wheels are checked. The front axle is engaged automatically – at the start of the lock-up or when the load on the coupling device increases significantly.
By reducing the specific floor pressure, it is possible to achieve 600/65R28 or 710/70R38 with tandem wheels on wide pneumatic tires.
Thanks to the chassis design with a very compact steering position, Case Puma 210 tractors need less time to work the edges of the field. This is especially useful when working ridged crops. The Case IH front axle is designed for maximum strength and durability.
Optional active front axle suspension is also available on all models. You can increase tractor ride comfort and improve steering. Less vibration is guaranteed when you move with the loader with tools already installed or when maneuvering. Stroke length is 105 mm and damping is adjusted with an improved accumulator and regeneration valve system, resulting in a smoother ride. The suspension is also load-dependent with an automatic self-levelling function.
Location and type of end programs: Planetary, integrated in the axle. Type of half axle – flange. Type of functioning i-Disc brakes, in oil bath.

Fall IH PUMA 210 Tractor Reviews
Tractors of this model in the agricultural farms of our country are few: the high cost, characteristic of all agricultural production, tractor and, of course, spare parts, components and consumables for it affects. In addition, potential buyers are stopped by the comparison with similar European analogues, engine power, lack of information and software for independent elimination of computer errors.
However, those who operate this tractor in their homeland describe it by all indicators as an excellent tractor on which almost all the hard work on the farm takes place. The cabin is as comfortable and comfortable as a prestigious SUV, although, of course, you have to get used to the location of the equipment and many controls. After the warranty ends, the cost of branded service is grossly overpriced, so owners prefer to make do with replacing oils and filters.
According to inspections, the 210-horsepower Puma with the same work was previously performed by two T-1550s. According to the farmers, they themselves invested in its purchase and maintenance – due to the lack of downtime, diesel savings and long life of the main units and mechanisms.
As a disadvantage, the high sensitivity of the tractor engine to the quality of diesel fuel, which is manifested in the reduction of traction properties and increased consumption of diesel fuel. However, the main disadvantage, of course, is the high cost of spare parts, consumables and service work.
That is why, as already mentioned, owners prefer to service Puma tractors themselves. What’s more, it’s not difficult: these farm lines offer unbeatably easy access to maintenance. With tractors of their own design, you can easily carry out all the planned manipulations with the change of machinery and filters.
In terms of performance and features case IH Puma 210 tractor is comparable to the following “classmates”: HTZ-17221; John Deere 7-series.
The cost of the tractor case IH PUMA 210
